Gaia Goods Trading Co. was established in 1991. Gaia is an ancient Greek word for the Earth, or more specifically representing Mother Earth. The concept of Gaia stems from the philosophy that the Earth is a living entity, and that everything (and everyone) on Earth is interconnected. At Gaia Goods we strive to build a physical bridge to other traditions and other people through our products. We support and encourage Fair Trade business, the traditions of hand-crafted goods, and believe in global, social and personal responsibility. Most of our products are largely hand-crafted by artisans trained in the traditional jewelry-making skills, as well as modern techniques. | | |
